Stats:
Adam Rotter:
- This one sort of got away from the Rangers quickly, at least in terms of winning this game.
- Henrik Lundqvist was a bit shaky in the first but better in the second. He’s probably going to get a full game coming up next week.
- Adam Huska certainly showed well, especially with how he played while on the PK.
- Brett Howden had a nice deflection for his goal, Filip Chytil had some nice rushes and plays in the offensive zone.
- Players from tonight we likely won’t see much more of, Joey Keane, Mason Geertsen, Gabriel Fontaine and Patrick Newell.
- Tarmo Reunanen isn’t likely to make the Rangers but he should get another game or two, same with Phil Di Giuseppe who has nice speed, and Joe Morrow who could definitely be the Freddy Claesson of this season.
- Ryan Lindgren is interesting. He’s tough, and the Rangers could certainly use more of that, but he’s battling with Libor Hajek for that last spot on the left side. Hartford, at least for a little while, seems like where he might start this season.
