Rangers announce six-year deal with Barclay Goodrow

7/22/21 | The Rangers have officially announced a six-year deal with Goodrow.

His agent has confirmed that it is a six-year deal worth $21.85 million. He reportedly has a 15-team no trade list. (Puck Pedia)

1:42 PM: Frank Seravalli tweets that the Rangers have made “significant progress” with newly acquired Barclay Goodrow on a reported six-year deal that will have a cap hit of around $3.6 million.

Goodrow, 28, is slated to become a UFA on July 28th and the Rangers acquired him on Saturday for a 2022 7th-round pick.

Seravalli tweets that the expectation is that Goodrow will sign when the roster freeze ends on Thursday.

Rangers acquire Barclay Goodrow from Tampa for 2022 7th Round Pick

8PM: Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period and NHL Network says that the Rangers are “already closing in” on a contract for Goodrow.

3:51PM: The Rangers have acquired two-time Stanley Cup Champion and pending UFA Barclay Goodrow from Tampa Bay for a 2022 7th round pick.

Goodrow, 28, is coming off a two-year deal that had a cap hit of $925,000.
