On Ryan Lindgren’s first games, David Quinn said “he looked more comfortable for sure, the nerves were a lot less. He was a steady force, had more confidence with the puck, a lot of good signs.” (NYR)

Quinn said that tomorrow’s game against the Bruins is big because they have to “live” with the result through the bye week and All-Star break. (ESPN)

He adds that the Rangers want to be over .500 after the break. (ESPN)

On Chris Kreider, Quinn said “guys grow, I think he is 28 and right in the prime of his career. He has taken his game to a litlte bit of a new level and playing with Mika and Zucc, that line has been really good. He’s had a good year from the get go, in a different mindset and when you have that speed and shot, it’s a real simple game. Sometimes he is very analytical but if he is just playing with instincts, boy, he is a really good player.”  (ESPN)

On Chytil, “I want to get him on the ice as much as possible, he has made some big strides over the past five months and his play away from the puck has gotten better. He won’t be 20 until next September, which I think some people lose sight of but that goal was certainly a reflection of his skill set. He’s going to be a center in the big picture but sometimes it’s hard to be a center at 19. I envision him being a center when the dust settles.” (ESPN)
