The goal that Kaapo Kakko scored against Canada

Potential Rangers dradt pick Kaapo Kakko scored on a breakaway against Canada in the first period of the first game of the World Hockey Championships against Matt Murray.

Dave Reid said on TSN before the game that Kaako will be relied on by Finland and that he is a “big strong winger that can put points on the board.”





Kakko added an empty-net goal to make it 3-1 Finland and he was named Finland’s Player of the Game.

Kakko has six shots and played 15:13 in the win over Canada.

Darren Dreger said of Kakko, “he wasn’t intimidated at all, he played like an NHL star and such a high level of confidence.”
