Dave Reid said on TSN before the game that Kaako will be relied on by Finland and that he is a “big strong winger that can put points on the board.”
Kakko added an empty-net goal to make it 3-1 Finland and he was named Finland’s Player of the Game.
Kakko has six shots and played 15:13 in the win over Canada.
Darren Dreger said of Kakko, “he wasn’t intimidated at all, he played like an NHL star and such a high level of confidence.”
