The Rangers have announced their schedule for the 2019-20 season.
From the Rangers release:
- The Rangers will play each Metro team 4x
- The Rangers will play each Atlantic team 3x (Two Home games against Boston, Buffalo, Toronto, Detroit) (Two road games against Florida, Montreal, Ottawa and Tampa)
- They will play one home and one road game against each Western Conference team
- The Rangers will have 13 back-to-back sets during the 2019-20 season; the team had 11 back-to-back sets in both 2017-18 and 2018-19.
- New York plays 15 games in a month in three different months during the season – November, February, and March.
- The Blueshirts will have four home-and-home sets in 2019-20, all of which take place during the second half of the season: one against the NY Islanders (Jan. 13 and Jan. 16), one against Detroit (Jan. 31 and Feb. 1), one against Philadelphia (Feb. 28 and Mar. 1), and one against Pittsburgh (Mar. 18 and Mar. 20).
- The Rangers have a season-long, five-game homestand from Oct. 20, 2019 against Vancouver to Oct. 29, 2019 against Tampa Bay.
- The Rangers’ longest road trip of the 2019-20 season is four games. New York has two separate, four-game road trips during the 2019-20 season: from Dec. 8, 2019 against Vegas to Dec. 14, 2019 against Anaheim, and from Dec. 28, 2019 against Toronto to Jan. 4, 2020 against Vancouver.
The Rangers begin the preseason on 9/18 against NJ.
