7/13/22 | The Ducks have signed Ryan Strome to a five-year deal worth $5 million per season.

Strome joins Frank Vatrano in Anaheim after Vatrano signed a three-year deal earlier today.

Strome reportedly turned down an offer from the Rangers earlier in the season that had a cap hit between $5.25 million and $5.5 million.

Adam Rotter: That’s a nice contract for Strome and gives him the long-term deal that he wanted and that the Rangers didn’t want to give him.

Strome for Ryan Spooner is one of the best deals in recent Rangers history. Strome was an extremely productive player, a big part of the PP’s success last year and someone that at different points in time seemed destined to stay here long-term. Ultimately Chris Drury decided to swap Strome for Vincent Trocheck’s similar production, physicality and ability to play consistently in all situations.
