The Rangers have hired Ari Vuori as Director of European Scouting.

Vuori comes from the Maple Leafs where he was their Director of European Scouting since 2015-16.

Vuori would have worked with Rangers Director of Player Personnel & Director of Amateur Scouting John Lilley in Toronto.

Prior to joining the Maple Leafs, Vuori was a European scout with LA from 1996-97 to 2006-07.

From 2007-08 to 2014-15 he was a European scout with Detroit. He would have worked with Rangers assistant GM Ryan Martin in Detroit.

The Rangers did not have a Director of European Scouting last season. Nick Bobrov had been the Director of European Scouting but was fired by Chris Drury last summer.
