The Vancouver Canucks have signed JT Miller to a seven-year extension worth $8 million per season.
The Rangers had been linked to Miller since the middle of last season.
Miller was slated to be a UFA.
Adam Rotter: What this means is that Miller will no longer be an option as a rental for the Rangers this season. The Canucks had a very high price on Miller and reportedly wouldn’t let teams talk extension with him because they wanted to keep him and now they did.
