In the AHL he had 8 goals and 23 assists in 54 regular season games and two goals and four assists in nine playoff games.

Adam Rotter: Like last season, the spot next to Braden Schneider is available for Zac Jones to take in training camp. The biggest things with Jones are his size and his ability to create at 5-on-5 because Adam Fox will be running the top PP for as long as he’s going to be a Ranger. It’s possible that Jones could get a shot on the second PP under Peter Laviolette, but I’m guessing that spot will belong to K’Andre Miller. Still, Jones is a nice guy to have under contract as a cheap third-pair defensemen or as a secondary or tertiary piece in a big trade. He’ll battle in training camp against Ben Harpur, Matthew Robertson, possibly, again, Libor Hajek, and whoever else the Rangers either sign as depth or bring to camp on a tryout.
