Peter Laviolette spoke on MSG after the loss to Buffalo and said (MSG):
- “Tough game for us tonight. We’ll look at it and fix it.”
- On the team making uncharacteristic plays to start the game, “I agree.”
- Update on Kakko, “Lower-body, he’s being evaluated and we’ll probably know more tomorrow.”
- Is the hand pass call that disallowed a goal not reviewable, “they said it was dead, that was the reason. We had a hard time telling what it was, a glove or elbow. Our guys saw a different view that said maybe glove first and then elbow…”
- Can they still call a hand pass on an elbow, “they said on the ice that they could.”
- On if the team can reset after losing to a weaker team, “There is really no such thing as a weaker team. That is on us. We didn’t play the way we needed to play to be successful and that is why we sit where we sit right now. We need to reset and be ready to play and fix things and we will and we’ll be ready to play.”
