Erik Gustafsson has signed a two-year deal with Detroit worth $2 million per season.
He had six goals and 25 assists in 76 regular season games, averaging 17:24 per season, and 3 assists in 16 playoff games while averaging 18:09 per game.
Adam Rotter: Good for Gustafsson. I’m not sure how interested the Rangers were in bringing him back, but he was a solid player for someone signed to an $825,000 deal. He had his moments, especially early in the season, and then sort of returned to normal, but he was a reliable, solid third-pair guy for the Rangers. The hope would likely be that Zac Jones can fill his spot on the left side on the third pair. The real question is whether Jacob Trouba will be his partner or someone else.
