10:22PM: Earlier tonight, Lance Lysowki tweeted that the Rangers were among the teams trying to acquire JJ Peterka from Buffalo.
He noted that assistant coach Michael Peca worked with Peterka in the AHL.
Renaud Lavoie tweeted that the Rangers and Peterka “could be a thing soon.”
Frank Seravlli said “I’m told that Chris Drury and the Rangers have put a significant offer on the table and had advanced discussions with the Buffalo Sabres about forward JJ Peterka. First ling winger, 23-years old and we know the Sabres aren’t interested in futures or prospects or first round picks, they want players that can help now and for the future to end their playoff drought.”
