The Rangers are close to signing forward Juuso Parssinen to a two-year deal worth $1.25 million per season.
Parssinen, 24, was acquired from Colorado as part of the Ryan Lindgren trade.
He had two goals and three assists for the Rangers in 11 games. All five of his points came in two of the last three games of the season.
Adam Rotter: It’s a cheap enough deal to bring Parssinen back and see if there is more to his game or consistency. At best he could be a third line guy for the Rangers and at worst he is probably a 13th forward. It’s also a deal that Chris Drury gets out of the way as he navigates how much cap space he’ll have heading into the draft and July 1st.
