Stats:

Adam Rotter:
- A nice win for the Rangers as a bunch of players get some of their NHL firsts.
- Dylan Garand was very good in net. He’s earned another start or two even if Jonathan Quick is healthy.
- Maybe it’s just the smiles, but there is a Matt Rempe quality to Adam Sykora. Rempe brought a certain energy and enthusiasm at his best and Sykora seems to have that same kind of quality to him. The Rangers need energy guys, they need enthusiasm guys and even if he’s just a fourth liner, Sykora can have a role on this team.
- Drew Fortescue made his debut, picked up an assist and looked fine. I’d expect that he will stay in the lineup going forward.
- It was a good overall win by the Rangers with everyone contributing. They probably deserved to win against the Leafs and they mostly took it to a Chicago team that they are tied with in the standings.
- They continue the homestand on Sunday against Florida.
