Calgary’s Matthew Tkachuk has informed the Flames that he is not interested in signing a long-term deal and he is now expected to be traded. (The Athletic) Tkachuk is an RFA and can be a UFA next summer. A new contract for him is expected to surpass his current qualifying offer of $9 million.

The Rangers have announced that they have signed RFA forward Austin Rueschhoff to a one-year deal. Rueschhoff, 24, had 14 goals and 10 assists for Hartford in 59 games. He is 6-7, 230 lbs. The Rangers also officially announced the one-year deals for Turner Elson and Andy Welinski.
