Adam Rotter:

  • This was frustrating for the Rangers because for the last 50-55 minutes they were the much better team. The Flyers only had seven shots on goal in the final 40 but they did enough to stop the Rangers from scoring.
  • Chris Kreider had at least 3 or 4 B+ to A level chances, especially in the second period, but couldn’t find a way to put the puck in. It was a little surprising to see with how Kreider has been able to score this season.
  • Kevin Shattenkirk, Jimmy Vesey and Filip Chytil all looked great and it was nice to see Neal Pionk return.
  • Kevin Hayes picked up just about where he left off with how he created chances.
  • You’d have to imagine that Pavel Buchnevich will be back on Thursday.
