2/15/19 | Adam McQuaid is ranked 32nd on TSN‘s trade bait board and Bob McKenzie mentioned him earlier this week, on NBCSN, as someone the Rangers are likely to trade before the deadline.

McKenzie said that the Rangers will get “at least” what they traded to Boston for McQuaid – 4th round pick and 7th round pick.

McQuaid, 32, has 2 goals, 3 assists, a plus three rating, 29 PIM, 17 shots, 65 blocked shots, 89 hits and an average of 17:43 per game.

Adam Rotter: The Rangers traded Nick Holden last year to Boston for a third round pick and Rob O’Gara and the belief is that the Rangers are looking for that kind of return in exchange for McQuaid. The feeling is that, at the very least, they will get back what they gave up for him, 4th and 7th, but that with his experience and playoff-type style of play that a 3rd rounder is possible. McQuaid is likely to be the first player off the roster to be traded and that he could be moved any day now.
