9:54PM: Nick Kypreos said on Hockey Night in Canada that Kevin Hayes is believed to be “Plan B” for a bunch of teams that are currently interested in Ottawa’s Mark Stone. (Sportsnet)

He mentions the Jets as a team that could be interested in Hayes and notes that their first round pick and maybe a prospect like 6-7 defenseman Logan Stanley might be enough. (Sportsnet)

Stanley was the 18th overall pick in 2016 by the Jets.

Bob McKenzie tweeted this afternoon that Ottawa would still like to keep Stone but that Winnipeg, Nashville, Calgary and Boston are among the “serious suitors” for him.
