Rangers call up Libor Hajek from Hartford

The Rangers have announced that Libor Hajek has been called up from Hartford.

Hajek, 21, was acquired by the Rangers in the Ryan McDonagh trade last year.

In his first pro season, Hajek has played in 58 games, has five assists, 36 PIM and is a minus 26.

In December, Wolf Pack coach Keith McCambridge said that Hajek has made “good strides,” noted that he is a “real powerful skater” and is “good in the defensive zone.” (NYR)
