The draft selections the Rangers have in next Friday’s draft

The NHL has announced the official draft order for next Friday’s draft.

The Rangers have the following picks:

  • #2 | First Round
  • #20 | First Round (Via Winnipeg from the Kevin Hayes trade)
  • #49 | Second Round (Via Dallas from the Mats Zuccarello trade)
  • #58 | Second Round (Via Tampa Bay from the Ryan McDonagh trade)
  • #68 | Third Round
  • #112 | Fourth Round (Via Columbus from the Adam McQuaid trade)
  • #130 | Fifth Round
  • #161 | Sixth Round
  • #205 | Seventh Round (Via Columbus from the Adam McQuaid trade)

The Rangers traded their own second round pick (37th overall) as part of the package to acquire Adam Fox from Carolina.

The Rangers own fourth round pick (99) and seventh round pick (192) were sent to Boston for Adam McQuaid.

Last year the Rangers made 10 selections including 3 in the first round (Vitali Kravtsov at 9, K’Andre Miller at 22, Nils Lundkvist at 28) 1 in the second round (Olof Lindbom at 39), 2 in the third round (Jacob Ragnarsson at 70, Joey Keane at 88) and 1 each in the fourth (Nico Gross at 101), fifth (Lauri Pajuniemi at 132), sixth (Simon Kjellberg at 163) and seventh (Riley Hughes at 216).
