Henrik Lundqvist in net against the Bruins

Asked on Thursday about Lundqvist’s workload, David Quinn said “he’s going to play more than Georgie, as of now, and Georgie will play against Jersey. Hank hasn’t had a lot relative to past years, it’s been a manageable number of games and we will keep it that way.” (NYR)

On being a different team than the one that was beaten by the Bruins, “we are a different team for sure, you look at how Fox is playing, Lindgren is playing, DeAngelo is playing, Chytil is playing, we have Mika back, Buchnevich is playing better, Strome and Panarin are playing better. We are a better hockey team. That is the game we lost Mika and I don’t want to harp on one player but it’s 1-0 after one and a pretty even first period and we lose Mika and they come out and get two goals in 30-seconds and we completely turtle. Listen, you talk about right now, they are the best team in the NHL the way they are rolling so we know we have our hands full tomorrow.”
