2019-20 Rangers

Igor Shesterkin in net, DeAngelo returns and Julien Gauthier in the lineup

6:50PM: David Quinn spoke before the game and said (NYR):

  • What do you expect from Gauthier, “he’s a guy who has an awful lot of size and speed, scored goals everywhere he’s been and looking forward to having him in the lineup and bringing those two elements, the size and the speed certainly help.”
  • What does the organization like about Gauthier, “he’s been a highly touted player, a first round pick, played on Canada’s World Junior team, has had a lot of success at every level he’s been at. We certainly were excited to get him, been talking about him for a while, a guy that has been in our sights, just excited to see him play tonight.”

6:35PM: Igor Shesterkin will start tonight against Chicago after missing the past two games with an ankle injury suffered last week in a win over Winnipeg. (NYR)

Tony DeAngelo, who missed the past two games with an upper body injury, also returns to the lineup. (NYR)
