Filip Chytil will return to the lineup tomorrow after missing one game with an illness and the past two games as a healthy scratch. (NYR)

Gerard Gallant met with the media following practice and said (NYR):

• On chemistry between Kreider, Zibanejad and Lafreniere, “When they are scoring goals and playing good two-way hockey. I think they’ve played really well, obviously the line has been great all year long. I don’t worry about those guys too much, to be honest with you, they take care of themsevles, veteran players him and Kreider and Laffy now. They keep playing well and doing the right things, but they play a 200ft game and that is what is important for them.”

• Is there anything to take away from the lack of scoring this weekend, “We gotta get back to what we were doing, get out-chanced 2-1 (laugh). I really like the way we played for the most part, the second period the other day wasn’t very good, but for the most part we’ve played good hockey since our break and keep doing what they are doing, creating scoring chances, playing good, fast hockey. Overall I like the way we are playing.”
• What has it done for Lafreniere to be on the top line, “confidence, he’s playing well, scored a nice goal the other night. He looks confident, stronger player, he’s a young kid, growing, better shape, doing the right things, he’s turning into a pro.”
• Is Lafreniere seeing the ice better, “yea, his whole game, he made some really good passes, scored a really nice goal opening up the last game on the one-timer, real good signs.”
• On Strome and Panarin, “like our team I think they’ve played pretty good hockey, not burying some of their chances, good to see Stromer bang one in the other night. Overall I like the way our team is playing as a team and for the most part we are doing the right things and, again, the pucks are going to go in the net. Demko had an outstanding game and I’m sure a lot of teams that played against us, with the way we’ve had goaltending all year, making the big saves and stealing some games, I thought that is what happened the other night, Demko was incredible in the first period, made 3-4 great saves and that was the difference for me.”
• On Chytil, “He’s going back in tomorrow, going to be a center tomorrow. I just want him to play his game, if there is a guy I’d like to see him play like, go out there and play like Mika Zibanejad, you’re a left handed Mika. Mika plays a complete game, faceoffs, PP, goes out there and does a good job, go out there and have fun, play hard, compete.”

Jonny Brodzinski was called up and Zac Jones was sent down.
