  • What is the latest with Panarin and Copp, “just day to day, getting, just being cautious.”
  • Did those two skate this morning, “no.”
  • You expect them for the playoffs, “yes, I fully expect them. Just being safe.”

Gerard Gallant met with the media following the loss to Montreal and said (NYR, MSG):

  • On the game, “we just kept finding a way to give them that extra goal and that is what happened at the end. But, you know what, no one got hurt, that was the key thing tonight and we played pretty well overall and got through the game. I don’t know if it was exciting for the fans or not….”

  • Anything on Panarin and Copp, “Not much, should be fine. Being cautious.”
  • Was it scary to see the injuries, “I hate to see, but I’d sooner be cautious than not have them when the games really matter.”
  • Do you approach the next two games with that caution, “Definitely. We don’t know what we are going to do yet, I’ll think about it tomorrow morning….but we’re not going to get first place, I noticed that. That is over with.”
