6:30 PM: Ryan Lindgren is OUT tonight. (MSG)

Jonny Brodzinski will take Dryden Hunt’s spot on the fourth line. (MSG)

5:41 PM: Gerard Gallant spoke after the morning skate and said (NYR):

  • Is Lindgren a game-time decision, “Yes, game-time.”
  • How did Lindgren look during the morning skate, “I wasn’t watching real close, to be honest with you.”
  • Is that his first time on the ice since Game 1, “I’m not sure, to be honest with you, I think he skated by himself a little bit, but I’m not sure.”

  • Are you thinking about any other lineup moves, “We might make one change, we’re not sure yet, but we are discussing it and see what happens with Lindgren, obviously.”
  • Would the forwards change, “possible. It’s a big picture, we go with 7 D or whatever. I don’t want to tell you something I don’t know yet for sure, once we find out we’ll make a decision.”
  • Is 7 defensemen a possibility, “definitely a possibility.”
  • Are you a fan of 7 defensemen, “obviously you know why I’m doing it, if that is the situation….what were we? 2-0, 3-0 with 7D? (Laugh) I think any coach does it out of necessity for your team.”
  • How is Igor, “I couldn’t tell you. He seems to be real happy, yesterday he was fine, day off, everybody relaxed. You get back in the net, that is all you want to do. Get back in the net and play a good game and hopefully things go well for us. I’m not worried about Igor one bit.”
  • On the importance of tonight and not going down 3-1, “They are all important games, you don’t want to go down 3-1 and if you do you gotta win three in a row. It’s a big game tonight and we want to come out and play real well and give ourselves a chance to win.”
