On Sportscenter, Emily Kaplan spoke about Nazem Kadri and said:

“Nazem Kadri is still talking to the Avalanche a bit, but because of their salary cap constraints he’s likely not going to return and he’s going to hit the open market. He wants to get paid and he will get paid, especially after the season and postseason that he had. You are looking at a contract that is going to begin at least with $8 million dollars before it. He’s going to take calls at 12PM when things open and the one team that I’ve heard is very interested in him is the New York Rangers. They specifically like the way that he competed in the playoffs coming back from that thumb surgery.”

Kadri has been linked to the Rangers in the last few days.
