The deal has an NHL cap hit of $775,000 per season and an AHL salary of $350,000 per season.

Adam Rotter: He’s a depth forward and likely going to be one of the top guys in Hartford next season. It’s good value for the Rangers to sign Blidh to this extension and keep him as depth in Hartford as Rydahl wasn’t in the future plans and has already returned to Sweden.

And now that this bit of huge offseason news is out, maybe the Rangers can focus on naming or finally hiring a coach to replace Gerard Gallant.
