The Rangers have sent Brennan Othmann to Hartford.
Othmann had two goals, 6 shots, and 4 PIM in 5 preseason games.

Adam Rotter: This isn’t surprising and probably the best move for him right now. He had a great training camp and showed a lot of the promise that he has as a Ranger. It seemed, after playing on the fourth line the past two games, that this was the way it was trending and that Will Cuylle was likely going to take the open spot up front. Cuylle had 25 goal last year in Hartford and now Othmann will get a chance to play big minutes in Hartford, play in all situations and develop without much pressure. It won’t be a shock if Othmann gets some games this season, like Cuylle did last year, but for now the AHL is the best spot for Othmann.
