The Rangers have placed Ben Harpur and Jonny Brodzinski on waivers.
The Rangers sent Brennan Othmann to Hartford earlier today.

Adam Rotter: Those are were expected moves as the Rangers cut down to their opening night roster, but it’s very possible that one or both get claimed tomorrow. Harpur starts a two-year deal and that may work in the Rangers favor, but he’s cheap enough that most anyone could claim him. The Rangers lost Jarred Tinordi on waivers last year and Harpur could potentially follow.
Brodzinski had a strong camp and definitely looked like he was battling Tyler Pitlick for that 12/13 spot. With Will Cuylle making the team it will be between Tyler Pitlick and Jimmy Vesey for that last spot in the lineup and the other sitting in the press box. Brodzinski is a big part of the Wolf Pack and is a reliable call up if needed, so hopefully he slides through, but a strong camp usually draws interest.
