The Rangers have placed Filip Chytil on LTIR retroactive to 11/3. (Staple)

Kaapo Kakko has also been placed on LTIR with an injury that will cause him to miss a “significant” amount of time but is not season-ending. (Brooks, Johnston)

Adam Rotter: Kakko’s injury not being season-ending is good, but missing a significant amount of time isn’t for him and the Rangers. Brodzinski getting called up likely means that he or Jimmy Vesey will join the third line in Kakko’s spot. Vesey has played well and had a nice role on the fourth line, but a big part of his appeal is that he does have the ability to swing around the lineup and he still does have the skill level that came with his hype.
