The Rangers have said that they will wear these jerseys for “a limited number of games over the next few years.”

Update: 12:10PM: The Rangers announced that they will wear these jerseys for 10 home games through the rest of the season.

Adam Rotter: There was a leak of these a few weeks ago and they have grown on me since then, but I have never loved the Rangers shield being on the front of the jersey. The Liberty jersey and the Reverse Retro from a couple of years ago felt different because it was a new/alternate logo, but I’ve always loved how the diagonal letters made the Rangers jerseys somewhat unique. I would have brought back the Heritage jersey from a few years ago which was a similar shade of blue, but had “New York” diagonal on the front. There are also conflicting reports on whether this will be the Rangers Stadium Series jersey or if they will have another jersey reveal and a different jersey for the outdoor game against the Isles.

This was sort of a subtle reveal without much fanfare promoting it and it was surprising that they didn’t release it before Thanksgiving so that they could be released, ordered and shipped for people to have for the Holidays.
