San Jose has traded former Ranger Anthony Duclair to Tampa Bay, along with a 2025 7th round pick, for a 2024 Third Round Pick and defenseman Jack Thompson.
Adam Rotter: It never seemed like Duclair was really on the Rangers radar, but I thought he would have been an interesting fit that brought a lot of speed and offensive potential. All it really means is that another potential option, along with Jake Guentzel, is off the table. There are surely other options other than Pavel Buchneivich or Frank Vatrano, but time is starting run out unless the Rangers are getting ready to pay a high price for one of those two.
