Stats:

Adam Rotter:
- Another mostly strong performance from the Rangers who dominated most of the first and part of the second before it settled into a more even game.
- This was a bounce back game defensively for the Rangers and a performance much more like we saw earlier in the season. They managed the puck much better.
- They were able to be strong defensively but also create a number of opportunities offensively.
- Igor Shesterkin was terrific throughout.
- Adam Fox was outstanding on the PP that led to Mika Zibanejad’s goal with keeping the puck in the zone at least three times. The PP now has goals in three straight.
- JT Miller scored a real nifty goal to win it in the shootout. He only has two points in the last seven games, including tonight, and so the Rangers are starting to get going while he is still finding his offensive game. When/if he gets hot and starts producing offensively the Rangers are likely to go up a level.
- Sam Carrick showed his toughness again tonight and his fight helped the Rangers start pushing back against the Columbus push.
- They look for two in a row at home, and four straight overall, tomorrow against Detroit.
