- Another game where the Rangers just weren’t good enough. They made it a one-goal game in the third and had the big edge in play for a chunk of the third period but they allow a killer shorthanded goal and never threatened again.
- The Rangers did get JT Miller back but the lack of Igor Shesterkin and Adam Fox just makes it so hard to see how the Rangers can put something together like the Sabres have in winning 12 of 13.
- He had been playing well and producing the last couple of games but it’s the turnover that Alexis Lafreniere commits that leads to the shorthanded goal that overshadows all of that.
