The Rangers are slated to have the following picks during today’s Day 2 of the NHL Draft:
- Round 2: 64 (K’Andre Miller trade)
- Round 3: 67
- Round 3 :77 (Carson Soucy trade)
- Round 3: 81 (Artemi Panarin trade)
- Round 5: 131
- Round 6: 162
- Round 6: 163 (Sam Carrick trade)
- Round 7: 193 (Vitali Kravtsov trade)
Adam Rotter: The Rangers had a big night last night in drafting Alberts Smits and also acquiring Pavel Dorofeyev and should be able to add numerous prospects to their farm system today. After trading 26 last night I can imagine the Rangers trying to move up in the second round by trading 64 and probably one of their later third round picks.
Other than that we’ll see if any other trade discussions develop. There was never a mandate that a Vincent Trocheck trade needed to include a 2026 first round pick and while it’s possible that he moves today, that still seems like a July 1st or later move.
