The Sharks have claimed Rangers defenseman Ty Emberson off of waivers. Emberson, a right-shot defenseman, was placed on waivers yesterday with the intention of him going to Hartford. Emberson, 23, played in 69 games for Hartford last season, scoring 7 goals and 20 assists and two goals and three assists in 9 playoff games.
