Former Rangers coach Alain Vigneault is expected to be named head coach for Team Canada at the World Championships in May.

Vigneault has one-year remaining on his contract with the Rangers that pays him $4.1 million next season.

He has not coached since being let go by the Rangers following last season.

Anaheim, Edmonton, LA, Ottawa, Philly and St. Louis all currently have interim coaches.
