Drury has previously been a member of the Team USA World Championship management staff.

Rangers GM Jeff Gorton was part of the National Team Advisory Group for Team USA last year.

Rangers coach David Quinn was an assistant for Team USA in 2016.

Rangers that have previously played for Team USA include Chris Kreier (2010, 2011, 2018), Brady Skjei (2016, 2017), Neal Pionk (2018), Jimmy Vesey (2015) and Kevin Shattenkirk (2011).

Other Rangers that could be considered for Team USA include Tony DeAngelo and possibly K’Andre Miller.

Adam Rotter: It will be interesting to see which Rangers, especially on defense, are chosen or asked to play for Team USA. I think it would be a great thing for Tony DeAngelo and it would be great to see K’Andre Miller back on the ice after an injury ended his season. I imagine that Kreider and Vesey, as long as they are healthy, will be asked and play and that the same could be said for Skjei and Shattenkirk. It won’t be a team full of Rangers though so I’m sure some there will be some tough decisions. The other thing is what role David Quinn could play. He was supposed to coach Team USA at the World Juniors this year but took the job with the Rangers instead. I’d imagine he will be part of the coaching staff it’s just a matter of whether it’s in a head or assistant role.
