8:10PM: Mika Zibanejad will not return to tonight’s game against Boston with an upper body injury. (NYR)
Zibanejad took a hit from Patrice Bergeron at 17:13 of the first period.
He played one more shift after being hit, 34 seconds to end the first period.
During that final shift, according to the NHL’s official play by play sheet, Zibanejad lost a faceoff to Bergeron (18 seconds left) and hit David Pastrnak with 5 seconds left.
The Rangers are already without Jesper Fast who missed the game for personal reasons.
