The NHL has announced the official selection order for next Friday’s Draft.
The Rangers have the following picks*
- Round 1: 16
- Round 3: 65 (from Buffalo for Jimmy Vesey), 80
- Round 4: 104 (from LA for Brendan Lemieux, 106 (from Ottawa for Vlad Namestnikov), 112
- Round : 144
- Round 6: 176
- Round 7: 208
The Rangers traded their second round pick to Detroit so that the Red Wings would take all of Marc Staal’s contract.
*The NHL is now counting the Coyotes pick as being forfeited and not just skipped over, so while the Rangers have the 16th pick they will be selecting the 15th player.
