Kaapo Kakko and Ryan Strome on the ice at practice

5:30PM: Gerard Gallant spoke after practice and said some of the following (NYR):

  • On Kakko and Strome, “We’ll know more tomorrow, you know, with the protocols and that. They are day to day, but no, I can’t say they’re gonna play tomorrow for sure yet or not but hopefully.”
  • Is there a chance they both play, “Yeah there’s a chance for both of them, but I’m not sure.”

  • Do you want to put Panarin back with Strome, “Well yeah, I definitely like him back with that line for sure, but again I thought the other guys were fine together. Injuries happen you got to mix and match your lines and like I said, you like to Panarin out there with some top players and I think he feels really comfortable playing with Stromer so we’ll see what happens tomorrow once the medical guys tell me they are cleared, if they tell me that, then we’ll know more about the lineup.”
