- Do you have an update on Rooney, “Week-to-week. I don’t know much right now, to be honest with you, but it’s definitely week-to-week.”
- Is Kakko getting close to being able to skate, “He’s getting closer. He’s still ways away, it’s going to be another few weeks for sure. I don’t have a date, the first time I said to you probably four weeks, but it’s going to be more than that.”
- Do you think he will be back after the trade deadline, “What is that? 3 weeks away? Hopefully just before, but I’m not sure. It’s another two weeks for sure, I know that.”
12:17PM: At practice, Barclay Goodrow, Filip Chytil, Morgan Barron and Julien Gauthier are skating together and Greg McKegg, Jonny Brodzinski, Ryan Reaves and Gettinger are skating together. (Stephenson)
12:02PM: The Rangers have announced that Tim Gettinger has been called up and that Kevin Rooney has been placed on IR with an upper body injury.
Rooney was injured last night against the Blues and did not return after the first period.
