- Igor Shesterkin certainly followed up Jonathan Quick’s performance on Wednesday with his own spectacular performance and his best since coming back from injury.
- It’s been trending this way but hopefully, today is the breakout game for Mika Zibanejad and his line. Chris Kreider was gifted a pass for his goal and had one taken away on an offside and Blake Wheeler seemed to find some chemistry and comfort next to Zibanejad. If the Rangers can get that line going at 5-on-5 they will only become a more complete and dangerous team.
- The PK remains solid, but it would be better if they didn’t have to kill so many off. It’s all working for them now, but at some point it will probably start to run if they don’t stop parading to the box.
- They had the lead and the game never really seemed out of reach, but it was another game where the Rangers spent most of the third period in their own zone.
- Tomorrow should be a great test against the Bruins as the two top teams in the East go head to head.
