According to Arthur Staple in The Athletic, Chris Drury was “vocally unhappy” with Artemi Panarin’s play in the playoffs.
Panarin had 6 goals and 10 in 20 games for the Rangers with a minus-five rating, 50 shots on goal 16 takeaways and 43 giveaways.
8:12 PM: Shesterkin was also named First All-Star Team goalie.
LW: Chris Kreider finished fifth with two first-place votes, Artemi Panarin finished seventh.
D: Adam Fox finished fifth with 68 second-place votes and 72 third-place votes.
G: Shesterkin finished with 188 first-place votes and 952 points and second-team Jacob Markstrom finished with 315 points.

Igor Shesterkin finished 3rd in the Hart Trophy voting.
Auston Matthews was first with 1630 points, Connor McDavid finished with 1111 points and Shesterkin had 738 points.
Shesterkin received 24 first place votes, 26 second place votes, 41 third place votes, 29 fourth place votes and 24 fifth place votes.
Igor Shesterkin is the winner of the 2021-22 Vezina Trophy.
Shesterkin finished with 29 first place votes and three second place votes.
Gerard Gallant was a guest on TSN‘s broadcast of the Memorial Cup and when asked by Craig Button about this season with the Rangers he said:
“It was a real good year, from the first of the season right on through, we got better every game and our goaltender was really good, he our key player most of the year. But our team kept getting better and better and our young players are really coming along. What I love about our team is we are really young and we are getting better.”
Rangers assistant GM Ryan Martin and Hockey Operations Advisor Mike Grier have both reportedly interviewed with the San Jose Sharks for their GM position. (SJ Hockey Now)
Both Martin and Grier were hired by Chris Drury last offseason.
Martin was interviewed for Anaheim’s GM job that went to former Ranger Pat Verbeek.
