• Did you get what you wanted out of this game, “exactly what I wanted, it was a good hockey game, we played pretty well, good, solid defensively. Exactly what we needed.”
• On the fourth line, “They’ve done it all year, they work hard and play hard together, they got that big goal early in the hockey game for us. They are doing their job, they played well.”

• On Mikkola getting his first as a Ranger, “it was great, he had some real good chances early in the last couple of weeks, but to bury that one is good for him, a good feeling for him.”
• Is it nice to have a feel good win, “it’s our last game on the road until the playoffs and good to play well on the road. I thought tonight was just a good, solid effort. It wasn’t a high intense game, but exactly what we needed.”
• On Shesterkin getting a shutout, “it was a good feeling, everything was good for us tonight.”
