Stats:

Adam Rotter:

  • More good stuff from the Rangers and against a Winnipeg team that is near them at the bottom of the standings but also still kind of in the playoff race in the West.
  • This is also another one of those good wins where the impact players were the ones that are likely going to be stinking around.
  • Another night where Alexis Lafreniere and Gabe Perreault both have two points and looked dangerous throughout. And it’s not just the end result, both of them are putting in the work to score and in Lafreniere’s case, doing things he really hasn’t done a lot since the very early part of last season. The process and work they are putting in to scoring is what is most encouraging for the future.
  • This is their first three game winning streak since November and that kind of explains why the Rangers are where they are. You do have to carry it with a grain of salt since the Rangers are playing without any pressure, but it’s better that they win and have their young guys lead them than not.
  • They see Minnesota on Satuday and then Artemi Panarin returns on Monday.
