Alex Georgiev to start against the Isles on Thursday

5:10PM: David Quinn spoke after practice on Wednesday and said (NYR):

  • On Brendan Lemieux’s status, “he just got cleared, day to day. When we feel he is ready he will be in the lineup.”
  • On why Hajek was sent down, “he’s missed a lot of hockey and he probably wasn’t going to play much here heading into the break and this gives him a chance to get down there and play some meaningful games and get back into game mode.”
  • On the Rangers identity, “I think we have to be a puck pressure team, make teams uncomfortable because we are not an overly big team. We have to keep teams out of their structure.”
  • Is that what you want or is that where you are, “I think we are getting there, not where we need to be but we are making progress in that area.”
