Adam Rotter: This has been the plan for the Rangers as they look to protect their assets with the deadline on Monday. They took a risk on Thursday with McQuaid but ended up sitting him anyway after a minor incident. The Rangers are at the max of 23 players and Brett Howden is on IR so if someone gets injured or ill today, and the Rangers have not traded anyone by tomorrow, chances are they will play a man down against the Caps.
