Forbes has released their annual NHL franchise values and they listed the Rangers first and with a value of $2 billion.
Forbes had the Rangers valued at $1.7 billion last season.
Sportico had the Leafs first with a value of $2 billion and the Rangers second with a value of $1.87 billion.
Sportico valued the Knicks as the top NBA team at $5.42 billion.
MSGS stock, at the moment, is $171.16 per share.
Adam Rotter: These are interesting things to read, but only matter in the context of James Dolan ever selling the team. Dolan isn’t likely to sell the Rangers and even if the did, you’d have to believe that it would be a massive deal that included all of MSG Sports, which includes the Knicks, the arena itself and other properties. It will be interesting to see how much the Rangers value goes up when they are actually in the playoffs, contending and possibly, hopefully, winning the Stanley Cup.
