Artemi Panarin has been voted as the Rangers team MVP for the 2024-25 season by the Rangers media.
It is Panarin’s third Team MVP award in his six seasons with the Rangers. He also won last year and in his first season of 2019-20.
Sam Carrick has been voted as the Rangers Players’ Player Award winner for 2024-25 as voted by his teammates.
The Players’ Player Award has been given annually since the conclusion of the 1958-59 season and recognizes the Ranger who, as selected by his teammates, “best exemplifies what it means to be a team player.”
Adam Rotter: I guess Panarin makes sense as MVP among a group that would have a much closer vote for team LVP this season. He was not exempt from the malaise that took over this team but he did raise his game again as the Rangers pushed for the playoffs. Igor Shesterkin’s numbers would seem to disqualify him as team MVP despite the fact that he was usually the least of the Rangers problems. But it’s Panarin, over Adam Fox and probably Will Cuylle as the only other options, who is probably the MVP of one of the most disappointing teams in franchise history.
